God, speaking through his Only Begotten, creates the heaven and the earth. Light is divided from darkness, and the firmament separates the waters above from those below.
1 And it came to pass that the Lord spake unto Moses, saying: Behold, I reveal unto you concerning this heaven, and this earth; write the words which I speak. I am the Beginning and the End, the Almighty God; by mine Only Begotten I created these things; yea, in the beginning I created the heaven, and the earth upon which thou standest. Dry Land and Vegetation
Study note
The waters gather together and dry land appears. God causes the earth to bring forth grass, herbs, and fruit trees, each yielding seed after its own kind.

Lights in the Firmament and Sea Life
Study note
God places the sun, moon, and stars in the sky for signs, seasons, and light. He then creates the creatures of the sea and birds of the air, commanding them to multiply.

Land Animals and the Creation of Humanity

God creates land animals, then in his own image creates man, male and female. He gives them dominion over the earth and blesses them to be fruitful and multiply.
