We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your data. We do not sell any user data and use collected information solely to enhance your experience and fulfill our mission of empowering spiritual growth. We do not engage in marketing or share data for advertising purposes.

Information We Collect

• Personal Information: We collect minimal personal information. To create an account, you are required to provide an email address and password for authentication. However, email verification is not required to use the core features of the app. Email verification is only required if you want to request a password change. If you do not provide a legitimate email address, you will not be able to change your password if you forget it.
• Non-Personal Information: We may collect non-personal information such as usage statistics, device type, and browser details to help improve the performance of the app and user experience.
• Optional Data: Journal entries, tasks, and streak data are optional, and you choose to submit them voluntarily. These are used to enhance your experience and track progress in the app.
• Birthdate: Your birthdate is optional and only collected if you choose to provide it. It is used for biorhythm calculations and to provide a personalized birthday message within the app. Your birthdate is stored locally on your device and is not shared with any third parties.

How We Use Your Information

• To track your progress within the app based on your journal entries, task submissions, and streak data.
• To perform biorhythm calculations and provide a personalized birthday message using your birthdate.
• If you require a password change, we will send a verification link to the email address you provided during account creation.
• To process AI-powered features such as mood-based scripture recommendations, scripture study assistance, and personalized journal prompts.

Artificial Intelligence Features & Third-Party Data Processing

• AI-Powered Features: Our app uses artificial intelligence to provide personalized scripture recommendations, answer scripture-related questions, and generate journal prompts. These features are powered by third-party AI providers.
• Third-Party AI Providers: When you use AI features, your inputs (such as mood selections, questions, and context you provide) are transmitted to our third-party AI service providers, including Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI, and ElevenLabs for voice features. These providers process your data according to their respective privacy policies.
• Data Transmitted to AI Providers: We send only the minimum information necessary to provide the AI feature you requested. This may include your mood selection, questions you ask, scripture references, and optional context you provide. We do not send your name, email, or other personally identifiable information to AI providers.
• AI Provider Data Retention: Our AI providers may temporarily process your inputs to generate responses. We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of Anthropic (anthropic.com/privacy), OpenAI (openai.com/privacy), and ElevenLabs (elevenlabs.io/privacy) for their specific data handling practices.
• AI Response Storage: Your AI conversation history and responses may be stored in your account to provide continuity and allow you to reference past interactions. You can delete this history at any time by deleting your account.
• No Training on Your Data: We do not use your personal inputs to train AI models. Your questions and interactions are used solely to provide you with responses.

Covenant Gems Virtual Currency

• What Are Covenant Gems: Covenant Gems are a virtual currency used within the app to access premium AI-powered features. Gems can be earned through app activities or redeemed with XP.
• Transaction Data: We collect and store records of your Covenant Gem transactions, including earnings, redemptions, and expenditures, to maintain your balance and provide transaction history.
• Redemption Information: Covenant Gems can be redeemed using XP earned through app activities. No real-money purchases are required.
• No Real-World Value: Covenant Gems have no monetary value outside the app and cannot be exchanged, transferred, or redeemed for cash or any other consideration.

Subscriptions and Payment Processing

• Payment Processors: All subscription payments are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment card information, billing address, or other financial details.
• Subscription Management: We use RevenueCat, a third-party service, to manage subscription status and entitlements. RevenueCat receives anonymized transaction identifiers to verify your subscription status but does not receive your personal payment information.
• Data RevenueCat Receives: RevenueCat receives your anonymized app user ID, subscription status, transaction identifiers, and purchase history within our app. This data is used solely to manage your subscription and is subject to RevenueCat's privacy policy (revenuecat.com/privacy).
• Subscription Records: We store records of your subscription tier and status to provide you with the appropriate features. This does not include payment details.

Image Storage

• Journal Images: You may optionally attach images to your journal entries. These images are uploaded to and stored in Firebase Storage, a secure cloud storage service provided by Google.
• Image Privacy: Your images are private and associated only with your account. Images are not shared with other users, third parties, or used for any purpose other than displaying them in your journal entries.
• Image Retention: Images remain stored as long as the associated journal entry exists. When you delete a journal entry, the associated images are permanently deleted. When you delete your account, all images are permanently deleted.
• Image Processing: We do not analyze, scan, or process the content of your images. Images are stored and retrieved solely for display purposes.

Firebase Services

• Service Provider: Our app uses Firebase, a platform provided by Google, for various backend services. Firebase is subject to Google's privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy).
• Firebase Authentication: We use Firebase Authentication to securely manage user accounts and login sessions. This stores your email address and encrypted password.
• Cloud Firestore: Your app data (journal entries, tasks, streaks, settings) is stored in Cloud Firestore, a secure cloud database.
• Firebase Storage: Images attached to journal entries are stored in Firebase Storage.
• Firebase Analytics: We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymized usage statistics to improve the app. This includes device type, app version, feature usage patterns, and crash reports. This data is not personally identifiable.
• Firebase Remote Config: We use Remote Config to manage app settings and feature availability. This does not collect personal data.

Biometric Authentication

• Optional Feature: Our app offers optional biometric authentication (Face ID, Touch ID, or fingerprint) for convenient and secure login.
• Device-Level Security: Biometric data is processed entirely by your device's operating system (iOS or Android). We never receive, access, store, or transmit your biometric data.
• How It Works: When you enable biometric login, your device verifies your identity locally and only sends us a success/failure confirmation. Your actual fingerprint or facial data never leaves your device.

Community Features and Shared Information

• Inner Circle: If you use the Inner Circle feature to connect with other users, your display name and certain progress information (level, XP) will be visible to users in your Inner Circle.
• Leaderboards: If you appear on leaderboards, your display name, level, and XP will be visible to other leaderboard participants.
• User ID Sharing: You may share your User ID with others to connect. Your User ID does not reveal personal information.
• Controlling Visibility: You control who is in your Inner Circle. You can remove users from your Inner Circle at any time to stop sharing your information with them.

Data Sharing Policy

• We do not sell your data to third parties.
• We do not share personal data with advertisers or other third parties for marketing purposes.
• AI Feature Exception: As described in Section 4, when you use AI-powered features, your inputs are transmitted to our AI service providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, ElevenLabs) solely to provide you with the requested service. This is necessary for the AI features to function.
• Your birthdate is stored locally on your device and is not shared with any third parties.
• Any non-personal, aggregated data may be shared with service providers to help improve the app (e.g., analytics), but no personally identifiable information is shared.

Security Measures

• We implement industry-standard security measures to safeguard your information, including encryption for data stored and transmitted.
• However, no system is entirely foolproof. If you have concerns about your data, please notify us so we can address them promptly.

Children's Privacy

• Our services are not intended for individuals under 18 years of age.
• We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 18.
• If you believe we have collected personal information from a child, please contact us, and we will take appropriate action to remove the data.

Changes to This Policy

• We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements.
• Material changes to this policy will be communicated through our website or via email notifications, as appropriate.

Your Choices

• You can update or delete your personal information by contacting us directly.
• You can choose to stop submitting journal entries, tasks, and streak data at any time, and your data will no longer be used in relation to points and progress tracking.
• You may opt out of receiving promotional emails at any time.
• All online data, including your email address, streak data, journal entries, and task data, is permanently deleted when you delete your account.

Multiple Users and Shared Devices

• Our app uses accounts to provide a personalized experience for each user. This means that multiple users can share the same device and app installation, and each user will have their own private space within the app.
• Each user's data (streak data, journal entries, tasks, etc.) is securely associated with their individual account. This ensures that one user's data is completely separate from another user's data.
• Users can be confident that their data is private and secure within their own account. They don't have to worry about other users accessing their information.
• Each user can delete their own account and all associated data at any time without affecting other users.
