When You Feel Anxious
Philippians 4:6-7
"Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."
Turn each worry into a specific prayer request — right now, out loud.
1 Peter 5:7
"Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you."
Visualize handing each burden to God — He is strong enough to hold it.
Isaiah 41:10
"Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness."
God gives three promises here: strength, help, and support. Claim one specifically.
When You Are Grieving
Psalm 34:18
"The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit."
God draws closer in grief, not farther away. You are not alone in this.
Revelation 21:4
"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain."
This sorrow is real but it is not final. Hold onto the promise of restoration.
Psalm 147:3
"He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds."
Healing is not instant, but the Healer is already at work. Let Him tend the wound.
When Fear Takes Over
2 Timothy 1:7
"For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."
Fear is not from God. Replace it by name: "This fear is not mine. God gave me power."
Psalm 27:1
"The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?"
Name your fear, then ask: is it bigger than the God who holds the universe?
Joshua 1:9
"Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest."
Courage is not absence of fear — it is obedience in spite of it. Take the next step.
When Anger Burns
James 1:19-20
"Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God."
Before you speak or act: pause, breathe, listen. The pause is where wisdom lives.
Ephesians 4:26-27
"Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil."
Anger itself is not sin — but unresolved anger becomes a foothold. Deal with it today.
When Doubt Creeps In
Mark 9:24
"And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief."
Doubt and faith can coexist. Bring your doubt to God — He is not offended by honesty.
Hebrews 11:1
"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."
Faith is not certainty — it is trust. You do not need all the answers to take the next step.
Proverbs 3:5-6
"Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."
When your understanding fails, trust is what remains. Lean into it.
When You Feel Alone
Deuteronomy 31:6
"Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee."
God's presence is not conditional on your feelings. He is here — even when it does not feel like it.
Psalm 139:7-10
"Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there."
There is no place, no circumstance, no darkness where God cannot reach you.
Matthew 28:20
"Lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world."
Jesus did not say "sometimes" or "when you deserve it." He said always. Believe it.
When Temptation Strikes
1 Corinthians 10:13
"There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it."
Look for the exit. God promised it exists — find it and walk through it.
James 4:7
"Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."
Submission to God comes first, then resistance. You cannot fight in your own strength.
Psalm 119:11
"Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee."
The verse you memorize today becomes your weapon tomorrow. Start hiding it now.
